OBSERVE / UNDERSTAND / PLAN

Read the joint. Frame the question.

Choose what you can see, then understand what needs to be checked before deciding on a repair.

01 / APPEARANCE

Start with a compatible cleaning trial.

Sound grout that looks uneven may be affected by soil, residues, sealers or moisture. Identify the tile and grout before choosing a cleaner.

  • Record where the colour changes and which cleaners were used.
  • Try an inconspicuous area with a label-approved cleaner.
  • Let it dry before judging the result.
Understand discolouration

This tool organizes visible observations. It does not inspect the installation or diagnose concealed conditions. For active leaks or soft surrounding materials, arrange an assessment before cosmetic work.

01 / LOCATION

Where does it happen?

A field joint, inside corner, perimeter and drain connection may involve different materials and functions. Photograph the whole surface as well as the detail.

02 / PATTERN

What has changed?

Record whether the concern is new, spreading or returning after a repair. Keep product names and earlier invoices if you have them.

03 / CONTEXT

What is still unknown?

Explain any moisture, loose tile or damaged backing. Ask an assessor what can be confirmed at the surface and what needs further investigation.
